Stepan Pakholko and Mykhailo Dmytriv's book "History Captured in Metal" is the first to use a large source base to describe the most important and dramatic events in Ukraine (especially in the years 1914-1952) and to describe in detail the history of phaleristic finds. Thirty-six thematic chapters describe the occasions on which certain symbols were awarded, who made them, where they were kept, and a lot of interesting, hitherto little-known information. Each topic is accompanied by colour illustrations - images
orders, medals, insignia, buckles, rings, cotillions, etc.
Over the course of thirty years of research, the authors have identified more than nine hundred insignia that bear witness to the heroic and tragic past, which were part of the national liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people and have become symbols of respect for our history.
