"History engraved in metal"

Stepan Pakholko and Mykhailo Dmytriv's book "History engraved in metal" is the first to use a large source base to describe the most important and dramatic events in Ukraine (especially in the years 1914-1952) and to describe in detail the history of phaleristic finds. Thirty-six thematic chapters describe the occasions on which certain honours were awarded, who made them, where they were kept, and a lot of interesting, hitherto little-known information. Each topic is accompanied by colour illustrations - images of orders, medals, insignia, buckles, rings, cotillions, etc. Over the course of thirty years of research, the authors have discovered more than nine hundred honour - witnesses of the heroic and tragic past that were part of the national liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people and became symbols of respect for our history.
